The first ever all amsteel constructed linemans belt with a patent pending hitch dubbed the "Vital Grip".  These linemans belts and tethers are 3rd party tested to ensure that they will perform and keep you safe while elevated.  The Vital Grip is a friction hitch 2 years in the making and allows the user to make adjustments single handedly.  For years companies have made claims that their amsteel products and systems could be operated with one hand which have been otherwise proved false.  The Vital Grip has been designed in the right pattern and proper diameter deviations to achieve this!  The Vital Grip is a tenderless system that will lengthen and shorten will minimal effort.
 
The Vital Grip is designed like a traditional linemans belt and tether incorporating a 5 inch eye splice followed by a full bury construction along its entire length.  The Vital Grip utilizes a green castration band which aides in tension to keep your linemans belt attached to your linemans loops.  When used as a tether the green castration band is slid into position towards the 5 inch loop and creates tension on the rope so that when you remove your weight the tether will not slip or fall down the tree.  The Vital Grip also includes a mil spec tubular webbing sleeve which serves two distinct purposes.  First it protects the tree from wear and secondly extends the life of your linemans belt and tether preventing it from excessive wear.
 
The friction hitch i.e. the Vital Grip is pretied and stretched so out the box it is ready to use and needs no adjustment.  Simply add your choice of carabiner (not included in purchase) and your ready to go!  The Vital Grip linemans belt and tether series is available in two sizes.  A 3/16 inch amsteel variation and a robust 1/4 inch option.  The hitch is also a full bury construction and according to testing data has increased breaking strength of almost double the breaking strength of amsteel in its single spliced non full bury state. 
All linemans belts and tethers are sold separately and do not include a carabiner.  These come pretied and stretched.  When you receive the products please carefully cut the tie connecting the two loops on the hitch (Do not cut the loops).  If you untie your Vital Grip you must send it back at your expense to have retied and set! Each Vital Grip Series linemans belts and tethers are finished at 7.5 feet ensuring that they will handle a tree of any size.
