The gear hanger by Vital Ground Outdoors is made from 7/64 Amsteel.  The gear hanger is a total of 6 feet of loops double brummel locked to eliminate any stretch.  It has on top of the 6 feet in length an additional 1.5 feet of adjustment which utilizes a roller cam cord locking mechanism to provide a secure hold.
 
The multiple loops that are spliced throughout the gear hanger are secure so you can attach your packs, calls, bows/rifles.  The orange loops are your attachment loops and when wrapped around the tree the excess is pulled secure through the roller cam cord lock. 
 
To install wrap the strap with the orange loops in the downward position around the tree.  Take the roller cam carabiner and secure it to one of the loops and then pull the excess line to secure. The strap includes an Orange bungee to secure when ready to pack up.
